Default You Are GM of the Kansas City Chief, Which Prospects Are In Your Fave 5?

The Chiefs are in the midst of rebuilding. They have a record of 1-5. The quarterback that they have tabbed as the future of the position, Brodie Croyle, is showing himself to be as injury prone as he was in college. Tony Gonzalez wants out, and Larry Johnson is in the middle of a PacMan-like spree of fuckery. If you were given the reigns of the Chiefs, what would your draft board look like? Team bright spots include: Derrick Johnson, Glenn Dorsey, Dwayne Bowe, Branden Albert, Brad Cottam. Trading pieces:Tony Gonzalez and Larry Johnson. Needs:Upgrades at nearly every position.

McCoy and Stafford.

Outside of those 2, I have no idea.

That defense is pathetic. Rey Mauluga would be a good run stopper at MLB.

On a different note, ESPN reported this morning that Kansas City had contacted Culpepper, and Croyle is out for the season.

I was getting ready to make a thread stating that.

Mine In No Particular Order:

Sam Bradford:

As long as they allow Damon Huard to absorb the sack while the line coalesces.

Michael Oher:

Sure they are Branden Albert, but Albert is no Oher. Sliding Oher to the right side or back to guard, the position he played in college, could really solidify the Chief's line.

Brian Orakpo:

He has been destroying the draft statuses of Big XII tackles all year. He could be the playmate that Glenn Dorsey needs to take that line and The Chiefs' D to another level.

George Selvie:

The second coming of Jevon Kearse, hopefully without the injuries.
Andre Smith:

The word beast is thrown around a lot these days, but this guy is a legit beast. He is both an exceptional run and pass blocker, and a superior prospect to Branden Albert.

Colt McCoy
Matthew Stafford
Sam Bradford
Matt Sanchez
Tim Tebow

The teams obviously needs a QB to place a face on their franchise, and it's rebuilding efforts. The cost of signing a QB selected with a high pick will be steep, but "every man has his price."

Chase Daniels is a 5'11''ish shot gun QB. He will not be picked until late in the second day of the draft. I'd fire you for having both he and Sen'Derrick Marks that high on your draftboard. Cody>Marks

Crabtree eligible for the draft right? Think he redshirted but I'm unsure. Not that its relevant to the Chiefs draft. Just wanna make sure.

You dont like Stafford Dasher?

He is a bronco at the moment. Mark Richt allows him to get away with too much nonsense, and it costs them during big games. Physically he is great, but he has a ways to go mentally. He has been a starter since his freshman year, but is making the same mental errors. I will be skeptical of Stafford for a little while longer. He has to prove to me that he can lead the team to victory when it counts. I may be wrong, but I do not recall him ever leading the Dawgs to a fourth quarter comeback victory.

It was in jest. You don't have to try and refute everything.
