Some of the new artisits I listen to include Fall Out Boy, The Fray, Metro Station (My favorite group now), Cold Play, Plain White Tees, Cisco Adler and a lot more I dont feel like putting down.

you're coming across like a reformed, proselytising alcoholic

p.s. i'd rather exclusively listen to hip-hop than the derivative trash you mentioned (fall out boy, coldplay). if you're going to broaden your tastes, at least make sure you include some good music...

Taste is all matter of opinion. What he might like, you might not like. What you might like, he might not like. Going all out and calling it derivative trash just shows your maturity. Just simply say you don't like it. Jeez. Plus I noticed you didn't mention any of the other artists he listed. Which probably means you have no idea who they are, what they sound like, but you just assume to form an opinion of what you think you like and don't like.

I like Coldplay. Of course, I'm no expert when it comes to rock so I don't really know what constitutes a good band or a bad one. But I like their music.

i'm sorry, should i have used an "etc"? i'm aware of all but a couple of the artists he listed.

i'm aware taste is subjective. however, some music is inherently sh*tty. you can like it, but that doesn't make it less sh*tty. for instance, someone like limp bizkit is inarguably worse than zeppelin. can it be quantified? no, but that doesn't mean it's not worse.

w/e... it was probably an overreaction on my part

I'm no expert either, but yeah, I enjoy it. I actually just went to a concert the other night, which was pretty good.

I think a lot of people consider them a little too formulaic and uncreative, in comparison to some of the other bands out there - they don't bring a whole lot of variety to the table. Although I thought the last album went out on a limb more than any previous album of there's did.

lol...I figured.

They just came out with a new CD. Probably their third best. Download (since you arent a fan and dont want to risk wasting money on a band you may not like) Stop the Clocks since it's a collection of their best songs chosen by the band. Doesnt include their new CD though.

Oasis didn't give a sh!t that Jay-Z did that and they shouldnt b/c they know very well they are better than he is. Plus, Noel just thought that rap shouldnt be in the festival and didnt take any direct shots at Jay-Z.
