The third year guard had his second 40-point game performance of the month at Memphis on Dec. 26 and connected on a career-high 17 field goals and on Dec. 29 against Cleveland, Paul tied his career-high with seven steals. Currently at 21.4 points, 10.0 assists and 3.0 steals on the season, Paul is looking to become the second player in 16 years to average 20-plus points and 10-plus assists (Steve Nash, 2006-07) and the first player in NBA history to average 20-plus points, 10-plus assists and 3-plus steals.

Paul averaged 24.5 points, 10.4 assists and a league-high 3.0 steals in guiding the Hornets to a Southwest Division-best 9-5 mark. Paul’s month included two 40-plus-point performances and three games with at least 15 assists. With season averages of 21.5 points, 10.2 assists and 3.0 steals, Paul is attempting to become the first player to average at least 20.0 points, 10.0 assists and 3.0 steals for a season.

Congratulations to Chris Paul!

I never actually seen him play before I saw him play against the Sonics on Dec 19. He had 21 points and 15 assists.

He is definitely one of the rising stars in the league.
