Is this the greatest win in Toronto Raptors regular season history ?

Considering the circumstances for the Chicago Bulls who were on a mission that year (eventually they would break the record). This has to be the biggest blemish, in an otherwise incredible run.

On the other side of the spectrum, you had an expansion franchise that only had 7 players in their line up:

considering the circumstances and who the raptors were at the tiime, i would say that was a huge win for us. At this time, i can't really think of any other win bigger than that right now.

If Vince Carter had nailed that last second shot against AI and the sixers which would have landed us in the east finals, then maybe that could have been one of our best wins ever.

The win against the Bulls is obviously impressive for an undermanned expansion team. Although in hindsight, the win was relatively meaningless.

If Carter had hit that shot against the Sixers it would have been the most meaningful and important win in the history of the franchise.

But he didn't. So I guess that win against the Bulls was the GOAT

Yeah i was stating the regular season. So playoff games are excluded.

Obviously, the greatest win has to be Game 5, 2001 NBA Playoffs vs New York Knicks, First Round.

And yes, if Vince hit that shot, it would easily have been the greatest win in Raptor's history, by far.

Regular season only, can't think of many with the game being in the balance and all, like it was against the Bulls. Easily the worst loss for that team that year too.

Game 5 of the 2001 playoffs against NY was pretty big, IMO. On the road at the legendary MSG, Game 5(back when the 1st round was best of 5), first ever playoff series win in franchise history. Against the New York Knicks no less. I realize they were a far cry from the 90's Knicks and the championship squads of the early 70's, but still it was NY lol.

Edit: I just saw it said regular season history lol. Then yeah I'd agree that win over the 72-10 Bulls would have to be it.

Playoffs:
As indicated above - every win in that series against AI and Philly. Vince isolating on one side of the court then AI isolating on the other. The last loss being oh so close - but every Raptor win was the biggest game.


Regular Season:

This one ! Every game verses the Griz was awesome.

We took Camby - they took Abdur Rahiem.

We were rising slowly with Issah, Stu had them accumulating talent like Big Country, Refer, Bibby.

They had teal uni's - we had purple - both shockingly stupid but popular colours at the time.

We played them in our own Naismith cup. It was use verses them... but the best of all them was home opener in the AC Center.

It was our best regular season game eva !! I was there!!!

1998/99: A year after taking talented high school star Tracy McGrady in the draft the Raptors select his cousin Vince Carter who was a star at UNC. However, Toronto fans would have to wait to see the talented cousins in action as a four month lockout delayed the start of the season. When the season started the Raptors new arena was almost ready, as they beat the Vancouver Grizzlies 102-87 in their first game at the Air Canada Centre on February 21st.
