Default Dwyane Wade is the new Kobe Bryant (and not in a good way)

http://www.page2live.com/2009/02/09/...r-sex-parties/

The dude is just getting beat down repeatedly in print these days. So far the major sports media has stayed away from this stuff for the most part, and it has been confined to the Miami/Chicago/Milwaukee press and the blogs. But, he's been flat-out getting battered lately....

I probably should have called him the new Carmelo Anthony because it seems like every time you turn around there's some new development and new revelation that is putting his name in negative headlines.

With Kobe, it was just the one incident, albeit a much more serious one.

Anyway, since two of out of the big three from the 2003 class have had their images ruined, the question is who is going to come forward to spill the dirt on LeBron. His people keep their mouths shut evidently.

Don't really care. I highly doubt most bball players aren't like this. If true, I can understand the guy being upset about Wade being "unprofessional" but I can't blame him at all for the sex/partying/weed.

Um, so why is this bad? Sex? Good, especially with Gabrielle Union. dude should've said he brought Star Jones over there... Weed? Bad, but not the worst thing in the world. Plus it just says he took a hit, not that he blazes on the regular. Probably lose him an endorsement or two (see Michael Phelps).... Paid a lady for smashing into her car? Honorable. That's all the insurance company would have done. She got it fixed/replaced. Divorce? See 50% of marriages in the U.S., probably 70% of Hollywood/Pro Athlete marriages.

Off the court:

DWade > Kobe

How much of this is actually true though?

There's always stories like this about everyone in the press, and they're always exaggerated to make them into a story.

Sex outside of your marriage with your wife at home with kids.
7 and 8 figure contract endorsements are a big deal, an endorsement matches his player's salary.
He didn't pay, that was the guy's point. He paid to cover it up for Wade.
That's fair enough.

I wouldn't call him a bad boy of the NBA but he's no poster boy anymore. This is more than common, he's just the one getting the finger pointed at him today.

I think David Stern and everyone else needs to realize that with today's media there is no way they can expect to have the clean guy images of Jordan, and even he was a victim of the media (gambling) when it wasn't anywhere near as big as it is today. Lebron has around decade left in his career. If I had to bet, I would bet on it instead of against it that by the end of that time, his image will be tarnished a little here and there.
