They played the Suns, calm down.

Get used to the stat padding against bottom teams. There is the Pelicans Washington and Toronto next. I just want to see what he does. Please don't disappear if nothing great comes out of this. You all over us like you won a championship. Opening night you were no where to be found, pvssy. You can't win every battle, but when you talk shit, you gotta be able to face the repercussions like a real man. Stop running like a scared ass b!tch.

Of course he was nowhere near as good as he was from 2000-03 but by today's standards he still had elite defensive skills, it's just that his teams got worse over the years which led him to sacrificing his D for more offense.

Just look at the defense in this modern NBA, most teams look garbage on that end due to how the game is played. You thought D-Wade was elite defensively because he would get a bunch of steals and blocks for highlights, AI led the league in steals 3 years in a row and he himself admits that he was bad on D..

Like I said...don't know anything about basketball. Only an absolute ****wit would try and make some kind of comparison between Iverson and Wade defensively.

Yup. Lonzo isnít good. Suns are bad. Rookies in their second NBA game are getting 27/10/9 against them on a nightly basis. Nothing new to see here folks.

I watched the 2nd half. He played great down the stretch. Took the ball the hoop and scored 3 buckets in a row after Suns closed the gap. Two of his layups he took right at Chandler and finished over him.

He had a great game in terms of being assertive. He was still launching passes even though a few were picked off. He attacked the rim even though he missed some lay ups. He kept shooting and applied pressure to the defense.

Regardless of stats, that is how a rookie grows and props to Walton in letting him be him. I am not a supporter for him and you can even call me a hater cause of Lavar but you cannot deny this kid as a positive impact on the floor.

Yeah, it is one of the dumbest complaints. "He would have x assists if every pass was converted." No shit.

All I know is the Lakers played the worst defensive team in the league and he still needed 27 shots to get 29 points. Also, the opposing pg he played against lit him up: Bledsoe - 28pts 10/18fg. This will be a common occurrence throughout the season.

You mean the 19 year old rookie in his 2nd game in an away game that dropped 29 points on 44% with 11 rebounds and 9 assists isn't worth talking about? Stfu you lil bitch

Accept it now, rather than setting yourself up for false hopes.

He is the next Magic Johnson.

Lonzo has lightning fast reflexes and excellent motor skills. I saw him switch hands in mid air and finish over a 7 footer, not sure who it was, but it all happened so fast....

One thing I wasn't expecting is how inaccurate his passing could be. Guys would have to lunge to catch basic swing and pick and pop passes. Lobs were off and guys would have to adjust.

His anticipation is excellent, though. It almost seems like the harder the pass, the better he makes it.
