Default Nets In Newark

With the Brooklyn arena delayed again. Unbelivable since the Jets/Giants Stadium which is a much bigger project is going to be finished first.

Do you think it would be cool to play the remaining time in Jersey in Newark.

I don't live in Jersey anymore, but I know that the Arena there is very accessible by train/path etc.

This is one of the major problems with the Meadowlands. Everybody has to drive and who wants to deal with parking, traffic, designated drivers etc.

I seem to remember that the Nets plan on renewing annually at the Meadowlands until construction is done. So I would assume they could get a deal done for Newark.

has anyone been there for a Devils game?

I went to the Prudential Center for the Devils game. Its very flashy which is great it turns the tempo of the game and puts the crowd into it and exciting. Its a great Hockey stadium. There's a bar upstairs from which you can watch the game with an upstairs view.

Dont quote me on this, but i think the nets tried to get a contract with Prudential Center in newark for that to be the official arena, but something went wrong and they were not able to get the arena there, so they ended up going to brooklyn. At first i was pissed...see my thread "Jersey to Brooklyn" but i guess they are doing wats best for the team. I still will check them out. Woulda been sweet if they built an arena in HOBOKEN, NJ with access to the path train to NYC. Would have been bery convienent.
