lol... I know it's only been 2 games. But Felton is looking much more effective and I like this 7 man rotation (basically), I hate when coaches play guys who don't deserve to play just because they feel like that's what they are supposed to. The Suns have been doing well running very few players out on the court each night and it really only catches up to them in the playoffs and I could care less if we get swept in the playoffs, making it there is the goal for now.
I wish 'Mareo and Walter were part of that rotation tho....
I like the 7 man rotation as well. I just question how good of an idea it is to play our Big 4 about 40 minutes a night. They are all young and very athletic, I just don't know how long they can sustain that. Especially with the durability issues of some of our guys (Crash and Mek).
Minutes per game through the first two games:
Felton - 42.0
Wallace - 40.5
Richardson - 40.0
Okafor - 38.0
McInnis - 24.0
Brezec - 21.0
Carroll - 13.0
Hollins & Herrmann - 7.5
Dudley - 6.0
Another stat in my eyes that is a big problem is this:
Richardson - 25 ppg
Felton - 22.5
Wallace - 17.5
Okafor - 16.5
All others combined - 14.5
This is obviously a result of the distribution of minutes but it is a huge problem if any of the Big 4 have an off night shooting. Thus far, we are benefitting from the Big 4 shooting over 50%.
For me Orlando will top it but all the other 4 teams are fairly even and close behind them. It's got to be the most even division this year. No great teams but all solid and very able to take games off each other.
Be great if we can get a good start as we're fairly injury prone. I can see us going 7-3 though the first 10 games where I think we have a generally winable schedule. It looks to get a bit tougher then though and we may only be 7-7 or 8-6 come end of the month so that will be the time to see if we are legit or not.
