Default Today's ESPN Articles

New Power Rankings came out today... We are #16 but they made sure to mention that the wins were by a combined 5 points. And that we are over .500 for the first time ever. They have ATL ahead of us at #13. ESPN and other people are officially really high on Atlanta now, interesting to see how it goes.

Marc Stein also had a chat today. The only mention of the 'Cats was in regards to the Mek contract extension...

Question: Does Emeka Okafor want to leave the Charlotte Bobcats?
Answer: Don't think so. I'd question Charlotte's intentions before I questioned Emeka's.

What do y'all think?

I think that there are folks who will try to undermine the Cats any way they can, even subtly. Many folks are easily sucked up into negativity and won't think for themselves.

Do you have links for these articles?

ESPN was the group Bonnell was referring to in his blog...one even suggested that Felton wasn't a starter in the League. Most had us like 12 or worse...one or two had us 15th in the East.

We might have some caveats to our wins...but they're wins. Guys keep showing it on the court the respect will come.

Bonnell does not make up his own ideas and theories about the team. Its almost as if he will get on ESPN.com, and use ideas from Hollinger or Ric Bucher (sp?) and them put them in his own little words.

So, Liverpooty, when will you take over Bonnell's job? You could come up with more solid commentary than him. (If you're ever serious about doing sports writing, maybe Jeff Lenchiner could steer you in the right direction, if you needed any pointers).

Ric Bucher may be the most unreliable sports writer in history.

Hes almost as bad as Bill Simmons.

Simmons predicted us to have a 27 win season, and trashed the city of Charlotte on a daily basis.

Im not sure how Bonnell still has a job. I dont mind reading different opinions on different subjects, but when you have a job as a writer, and all you write each day is " observations: Okafor rebounded well last night, and it contributed to us playing well " than you shouldnt be writing for any paper in the nation. I havent seen a direct quote from a player at all hardly since the season began. Didnt see any quotes from Richardson after his first home game with Charlotte.

Hollinger is still a freakin' idiot and has us at #26. I really don't understand how his math can have us below so many 2 and 3 win teams. But Marc Stein has bumped us up to #14 this week.
