Music Artist who passed away before their time
How would music have been different if these artist hadn't died before their time? I think it would have been real interesting had these greats lived on longer and added on/improved or hell even invented something in music.
Would you all include John Lennon ? While he passed some what young, you could say he had already passed his primes with the Beatles...

Re: Music Artist who passed away before their time
Selena, Aaliyah and Tupac all got completely overrated just because they died early, no one used to listen to Aaliyah until she died now everyone always talks about how they're nostalgic for her shitty songs and she coulda been one of the greats..

Hi, how are you?
Re: Music Artist who passed away before their time
Jim Morrison, Freddy Mercury, Ian Curtis

Little Richard didn't die in his prime, but he quit during it in order to preach. I would actually probably have him number 1 on that list of artists I wish could have produced more work in their prime, followed by Otis Redding. Honorable mention to Bradley Nowell from Sublime.

Otis Redding would go at the top of my list.

I'm not saying rank these artist, but how would have music been different had they lived?
What do you think Otis would have been doin' in the early 70s? How would he ave changed music?

+1. New Order is a great band but Joy Division was iconic.

I know, just saying out of everyone on your list, he's the one I liked/cared about the most. I don't really know how music would have changed, I just wish there was more of his out there. I liked his voice, his songs and the soul behind it.

Ban this f*cking loser already.
Aaliyah's one in a million( a CD I have btw) went 2X platinum before her death. Not to mention her debut album also went 2X platinum. STFU.

Had Otis lived he would have completely altered the course of Stax Record's history. Would Issac Hayes have come from the background to produce Hot Buttered Soul if Stax wasn't desperately in need of a star to replace Otis. The Original Bar-Kays also died with him. They could have radically affected the development of funk had they lived.

Yes, that's what I'm lookin for.
Stax would not have folded in 74 had he lived. But, like you said, we might not have gotten Isaac Hayes.
