Turiaf sore throat, Mbenga bruised ribs

DJ Mbenga suffered bruised ribs after being kneed by Ira Newble during a scrimmage Monday. He will be listed as day to day. . . . Ronny Turiaf was sent home from practice because of a sore throat.

Are you kidding me? I get sore throat every 6-7 months. I don't come home every time I get a sore throat to rest more.

Actually, I got the cold going around in December, and my throat was so sore, I was hacking blood and hurt like no other. It turned out to be strep throat. Anywa, I think you cannot make a judgement of how bad a cold impacts someone...

And, if you want to pick on someone for being soft, Turiaf is probably not the right guy. Dude had his chest cut open for open heart surgery and was back on the court in six months. He is tough as nails.
