What are the best shoes for Point Guard/Shooting Guard?
Hey all!
New noob member here, technically i joined cz i wanted to discuss bball stuff. Anyhoo, ma bball shoes are toast from playing on the tarmac court at home and I need a new pair for indoor games on hardwood. I play point and shooting guard mostly. Does anyone know the best shoe for these two positions? and why? What features of the shoe suit these positions? Anyone out there play these positions- what shoes do you wear?
Re: What are the best shoes for Point Guard/Shooting Guard?
well im a center that plays in nash shoes(yes most of u are wondering wtf), but because i use fast turn arounds and post ups alot, sometimes ancle protection can limit u. are u fast type shooting guard and point guard, or are u guiding the team through not at as fast.
if ur fast and such, chose the jordan 22s, but my best bet is 2 buy about 6 pairs of starburys.

Great call. Anything with the AI line is very gaurd friendly. The Questions would be the best.
I would suggest to pick up anything with Zoom Air as well.
The Gil's by Adidas would also be a wise choice.:)

Everyone's different, so you'll probably need to continue trial and error until you find what works for you.
I personally have found that Adidas always fit me perfectly for some reason. Nikes are too flat, and make my feet ache. Reeboks are too wide, and don't even come close to fitting right.
Personally, I'd recommend getting whatever Tmacs or Arenas you can find on sale; but that's just me.
Re: What are the best shoes for Point Guard/Shooting Guard?
just a tip for shoe buying.. they have to FIT but not too much cuz you don't want to squish the toes, that's uncomfy and leads to blisters. You want to be able to keep your feet and toes flat and spread, BUT they must fit enough so they dont' slide around cuz that will ALSO cause blisters and is bad for your ankles.
