Default Trail Blazers Gameday Thread

Since this is my first post I'll start with an introduction.

I've only been watching the Nuggets and the NBA for 2 years, I understand basketball but was never really dedicated to watching it on TV before so I really only know the Nuggets roster and a few star players like LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Yao, Wade etc etc. Basically what im saying is I would suck at fantasy basketball. Anyhoo I've been lurking the forums for a while now and finally got around to registering.

I DO know the Nuggets (from the past two years anyway) and I am very excited about this season. Anyways, this forum needs more posts so on to the gameday thread!

Today(November 14th) we play the Portland Trail Blazers(4-3). I know next to nothing about their players, their city or their playstyle. But I DO know that the Nuggets are favored by 10 points and the Trail Blazers are going down. Trail Blazers? More like Snail Hazers am I right or what? Seriously though does anybody know this team's playstyle or what advantages (if any) they have over us?

Well, the Blazers are (I believe) the youngest team in basketball. They drafted Greg Oden as the cornerstone to rebuild their franchise around, but he hurt his knee and is unfortunately out for the season.

They are very young at just about every position. Martell Webster is only 20 but in his 3rd season already and can light it up from 3. Brandon Roy is their best all around player, and with the Nuggets on-and-off perimeter defense, Roy has the capability of going off on us.

Their post players are also very young but lack true offensive force right now, Camby and Martin should be able to handle them. Although there should be some great battling for rebounds down in the paint tonight.

Basically a young team. Only one player that plays has ovr 4 years of experience, Likes to run. Good guards. Not good in a set up offence. So got to stop the run!

Hrm we dominated in every facet of the game except 3s, going 1-13 from 3point land. Not really much else to say about it, good to see Carmelo getting rebounds. Nice to have Kenyon's scoring capability back and Kleiza nearly had a double-double and that drive by him in I think the second quarter was awesome.

How many 3s did JR Smith take tonight? 3 right? So he went 1-3 on threes but wow he sure had an amazing game against the Cavs, if all of our PGs weren't hurt I betcha he would be starting at SG for us.

No that's A.I.'s job. He would still be coming off the bench!

Hard to tell with AI, his passes are so amazing you would guess that he had been playing point his entire career.
