How was it prepared when you had it? I only had it boiled, curious if there's any other way to make it. Not my favorite thing to eat, but definitely edible.

I will ask my taco man how he makes it. I think he just has good timing, the difference between having a tough tongue and a soft tongue is mere minutes. It is easy to overcook.

Ahh, missed your post about the taco man. Pretty interesting. What ethnicity does that food originate from?

    Edit: Mexican, just googled it.

Wasn't saying it was, just that it resembled it.

Mōlli or 'mole is a thick soup somewhat like a curry I suppose. Can be made very spicy. But instead of Lamb, uses chicken.

Mexican dish. A friend once made some and it was extremely delicious. Ate it with rice and then with bread when I finished my rice.

after seeing a mole dish win Top Chef Masters(1st season) where Rick Bayless said he traveled all over Mexico and it took him 10+ years to master the dish i always wanted to try it. got some as a side sauce for a chicken burrito at a local mexican joint but it wasn't what i expected, was rather disappointed. it was too sweet and thick, and seemed a bit dry but maybe they purposely made it like a sauce and thickened it more than it should've been for soup purposes. almost reminded me of molasses in a way...

Some variations add chocolate as well to counteract the spice and is quite tasty indeed. Nothing beats the way Grandma makes it.

The heat is what makes it for me though. But add that chocolate, I'll still try it.
