Furthermore, Ukic is a better distributor, has a better basketball IQ and uses his length and size to play better D than Solomon ever will. C'mon guys use some common sense. Solomon is NOT a shooter and should not be on the floor for more than 10-15 mpg while Jose is out. Give the majority of the minutes to Ukic, especially in crunch time.
His career FG% doesn't matter. What matters is he's been shooting above 40% for us and Ukic has been shooting below 40%. Sure he made one "shot" against Orlando, but statisically, he's not the superior shooter. Teams can easily just double up on Bosh either before he gets the ball or after, and ideally he kicks it out to the open shooter (usually Calderon) but in this case it would have to be either Ukic or Solomon, and given that choice, i'm going with the higher percentage shooter. Just like when people complained about Kapono missing those late game shots and saying Moon should've been taking those 3's instead since he had a hot hand.
