Default How long untill we see another Top 5 all-time player?

We saw Russell in the 60's

We saw Kareem in the 70's

We saw Jordan in the 90's

We saw Shaq in the 2000's

We saw LeBron in the 2010's

How long till the next Top 5 player? 10 years? 20? 30?

Or maybe its another current player ( Durant )

Dont forget, in the 80s Magic and Larry were top 5 all-time at the time bc MJ, Shaq, and Bron hadnt come along yet.

So we basically get a new entry every decade. I would expect the 2020s to be Lebron James Jr.'s era, and I anticipate him displacing someone in the current Top 5 and joining his father.

Of all the new blood, I think Jabari Parker, KAT, Lavine, D. Russell and Devin Booker are really good. I can see them being future stars.

I think Ingram is a once in a life time player. Like Anthony Davis and Goatbrook. Top 5 potential? Only if they dominate and win.

It's not about being at that level, it's about hype. The best players are always going to get hyped, so for many they think they are seeing Top 5. Kobe used to be considered the GOAT by millions who were new to basketball. I remember many people comparing Durant to Jordan, many thought that he was going to surpass him someday. Look at Curry last year. He's so limited in his overall game, but many of his fans thought he would over take Jordan.

LOL.... that guy doesn't belong in that group. Clearly Kat is future all-time great. Those other guys... not so much.

Yeah. Maybe the Knicks should have colluded. Good point.

Knicks the richest franchise, regardless of how many championships they got. Their relevance still there, someone still talks about them

They are so relevant you talk about lebron 10 times as much as you talk about the Knicks. The only reason i mentioned them is they are right under your profile pic. I'm pretty sure now we've both mentioned the knicks in the same amount of posts in the last 6 months. The difference is you're a "Knicks fan" and I have less than 20 posts.
