Nowdays if you made a movie like that, it'd bomb a lot harder

Mainly because of how oversaturated the genre became, following off the brilliance of hits like American Pie, and Van Wilder

Also, today it's all social media edginess

The comedy in American pie is too childish.. great when I was a teenager watching it but I literally haven't had the inclination to see those movies since I saw American wedding in the theater

I've popped in pretty in pink and 16 candles probly 20 times since

breakfast club 10 times or so

Ferris bueller probly 5 or 6 times

weird science a few times

superbad at least once since I saw it first

10 things I hate about you twice

clueless a few times

dazed and confused a few times

bill and Ted a few times


and by far the most ... fast times at Ridgemont high.. at least 50 times. and by far the goat teen comedy
