Did you actually go to Suns.com?

The only pics they have of Shaq are from the press conference. There are no pics of him in uniform yet.

Like I said, as a Photoshop job, it's a pretty good one.

Oh, and Shawn Marion is missing from the Players section.

The more I see of that I really like it. (Maybe that's because I really have no choice at this point. But oh well.)

Riley coached the Showtime Lakers. Granted, that mainly meant letting Magic create but he probably learned what a team needs to do to run from that experience.

Jason Williams is no Magic. But maybe if we draft Rose he can be the next Roy or Baron Davis.

This is a good trade for both teams. It will make things more exciting, that's for sure. Let's hope that Shaq to the Suns works out...

...but not too well, because the Lakers are gunning for the championship now!

Kobe and the Lakers VS Shaq and the Suns, WCF

WOW

I'm inclined to think that Phoenix ****ed up, but Shaq's still got size and the ability to finish. I don't think he mixes well with STAT, as neither is a high-post player, but this has a chance to be good. I predict that either Phoenix makes the Finals or Shaq averages 9 points and ends up coming off the bench. Also, this makes a Lakers/Suns series a great rivalry if it happens.

I agree with everything you say except for the "Amare is not a high post player". That is exactly what he is.

Those 1980ís Laker teams ran in spite of Pat Riley, not because of him.

Riley was given the head coach job after Magic Johnson pulled his b*tch move on Paul Westhead and Norm Nixon. Riley was promoted from assistant to head guy and the rest of the assistant staff under Westhead stayed on under Riley. The basics of Westheadís fastbreak were already installed when Riley took over.

Since leaving Los Angeles every team Riley has coached and helped construct has been a half-court slow the pace kind of team.

I'm not holding my breath on the Heat becoming an efficient fastbreaking team with Riley running the show.
