I am torn between the two. While hardwood floors look better, the carpet is much more comfortable and cleaner.

My socks get dirty as hell and ruined when ever I go to a house with hardwood floors because people don't clean their floors. In a carpet home, your socks don't get dirty and it is easier to clean. You just run a vacum cleaner over it and it picks up the dust. With the hardwood you have to go over it with a sweeper.

As long as the carpets match the drapes, I'm good.

grew up with carpet floors and animals. its a disgusting combination. loving that my last two places had no carpet, accept for the bedroom. its annoying that the stairs are carpeted. awkward to vacuum . they're dirty.

What kinda carpet are we talking about here? Either way I don't like it all over the place, whether it is covering ***** or the floor. I'm cool with a bit north of the ***** and a piece of Persian carpet in the living room.

I prefer a rug to a full on carpet. Wait what are we talking about?

I love carpets in bathrooms. They're the best thing to put your foot on when you get out of the shower.

It doesn't need to cover everything, but I do like at least some carpet. Looks classy if you ask me. When I see no carpet I'm thinking: "What's the matter? Can't keep a carpet clean and maintained?".

It's not only the tempreature, it's also the feeling.
And a marble floor is slippery even if you heat it (and can you heat a marble floor? I guess you can but I have no idea)

I like carpets but only in the bedroom and living room area. Bathrooms, kitchen, eating area, and hall ways have to be tile. It's easier to clean tile and I don't like shoes on the carpet.

I like to alternate between a shag carpet and a bare floor. Sometimes a small rug is nice. The back door should have no carpet at all, a welcome mat in the front is ok though.
