Default We should go after Marcus Camby/Jamison for Gasol!!

we would instantly become contenders if we had Camby!! he's a beast! i dont care about the injury risk, give him a long term deal and lets take advantage of the weak east. think about this line-up

G Arenas
G Stevenson
F Butler
F Jamison
C Camby

thats a monster front court right there, if only we could get a good SG (possibly Larry Hughes comes back?) we would be the top team in the East! i mean who could stop us? we'd finally have that defensive "monster" this team needs very badly at the 5 spot!

maybe we could trade Jamison for Gasol? then we'd truly be elite right there...

That trade makes no sense. First Jamison and Caron are what holds that locker room together. Jamison is the one that keeps Gil grounded. Has Gasol one a playoff series? He hamstrings our cap even more. We have the same players with no injury history in our two young bigs (O.P. and Blatche) for a lot less money. Finally, Gasol plays NO DEFENSE. Camby has one year blocking shots and you think that he is going to take us to the Eastern Conference final. Have you looked at the contract that he signed. Now if we can send Etan and Brendan to Denver for Camby the I would do the trade. Or the two of them for Gasol. Gasol plays no defense and Camby has a limited offense game, would provide nothing on the low blocks which is what we need.

Show some patience with our young talent - big men need time to develop and minutes on the floor.

It's easy to say pau has no defense. When the fact is that pau is a factor in the paint. He blocks shots and rebounds. The problem is the rest of his team is bad at defense anybody can look bad when opposing players are alwys in the lanes getting layups and dunks. If he has no perimiter d to help him.He is then looked at to be the catalyst on defense.Thats not fair to blame pau for bad defense when his team is worse then he is.He takes the blunt of the beatings in the paint.Pau would look good if he had help in the paint.

AD, Etan, and the rights to JCN (really what other guard do they have in Denver?) for Camby and Demarr Johnson (contract filler and a local boy.)

Anyways I would would welcome pau to play anywhere that has an allstar guard.Or real talent on the roster, not just potential.Arenas, and butler are good pieces.Pau would be a nice fit next to arenas. He would take care of the inside while arenas and butler take care of the perimiter.

Pau has the capability for opening wider spaces for the shooters and this is one of the weapons of the Spanish national team. So, yes, Pau and Arenas would fit together, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen, at least this year.
