Jordan is the consensus GOAT, suck it up and get over it, kid. There's no need to attempt to belittle great players of the past whom you know nothing about.

That's not even considering three of the greatest in the era, who also happened to play on the same team, Michael, Pippen and Rodman.

Indeed I did. And I imagine you were 10-15 years from existing at the time. An average defender is simply not someone to be metioned the way you did. Not that Deng actually is an average defender. And not that id expect someone who said this:

there are atleast 5-8 defenders in the nba better than deng in the current nba but i bet no one can name more than 3 from jordans era

...to know what they are talking about anyway.

Does anyone have reason for this topic to continue?

What was the name of the Bulls Harper? To me that guy was one of the greatest permiter defenders of all time.

joe dumars and john starks, both undersized shooting guards were the best defenders on him. compare that to bruce bowen, shane battier, tayshawn prince, ruben patterson. oh yeah and lets throw in craig ehlo.

Bruce Bowen said Jordan was the toughest he had to guard, and Jordan wasn't even in his prime....he would eat ALL their lunches....Shane Battier no more a defender than a Gerald Wilkins, except Battier has handcuffs on in today's league.

do you think anyone was gonna disrespect michael jordan? especially when he was on his last legs? of course bruce bowen was gonna say that, yet the numbers don't lie that a certain somebody else destroyed bowen in the playoffs time and time again.

what im gonna say is that, its inconclusive. there is no right and there is no wrong. nothing can be proven because of eras
