yet another top ten players list
1. Kobe Bryant
Still brings more on both ends of the floor than anybody else.
2. Tim Duncan
Championship pedigree dictates that he be placed no lower than this. Unlike what people say about Shaq, you get the feeling that he really IS saving himself for the playoffs.
3. LeBron James
Will probably be on some sort of all-defensive team this year. I don't like him, but even I can't disparage what he's done so far.
4. Kevin Garnett
The presumptive MVP. Has he been underrated all these years or overrated this year? Or both?
5. Dwyane Wade
Not playing like a top 25 player at the moment, but he gets a while longer, after double-surgery, to prove he doesn't belong here.
6. Steve Nash
Hard to put a player who plays no defense any higher than this, but he just keeps on going, despite the predictions-- every year-- of his demise
7. Dwight Howard
Young Shaq is the other presumptive MVP and the most surprising member (to me) of this list.
8. Tracy McGrady
When healthy, he is as talented as anyone else on the list.
9. Dirk Nowitzki
Like Wade, he gets a while longer to prove that he shouldn't be rated this high.
10. Yao Ming
I really didn't know who to put for #10, so Yao seems like an adequate selection.
