    TAOJJBTCRF is due any amount of praise it receives. It just lost in the shuffle that year when, in actuality, I'd say it is just as effective as something like There Will Be Blood (also a personal favorite).

    Hugo seems like it has no rep ever since the year it was released was over. I find it a charming and beautiful film that is for lovers of all cinema. Good holiday movie that was executed very well.

    Adaptation is very polarizing but I thought it was nuanced and clever enough in black humor to garner more praise than what I've seen/heard.

    Jarhead is a damn good film entrenched in realism. It felt really organic and the characters were all well cast. Portrays the uncomfortable indifference of deployed life pretty hauntingly imo. Not supposed to be a battle film.
