Panathinaikos supposedly bought out Vassilis Kavvadas from Panionios.

HUGE transfer for PAO if true. This guy is the Greek big man of the future. PAO's team isn't looking too bad after all.

    PG Ukic/Kitchen/Xanthopoulos
    SG Diamantidis/Bramos/Zoumpos
    SF American free agent/Maciulis/Giannopoulos
    PF Panko/Tsartsaris/Kaselakis
    C Schortsanitis/Kavvadas/American free agent

Depending on the last two transfers, Pedoulakis has put together a pretty strong team actually. The only doubt I have are about Kitchen's basketball I.Q. at the point, and the durability of Panko and Tsartsaris at PF. Still, that team should easily make the Top 16.

Panionios has put together a hell of a roster for their budget (€4 million euros).

    PG Batis/Gibbs/Athinaiou
    SG Pappas/Payne/Motsenigos
    SF Giankovits/Milbourne/Athanasoulas
    PF Nadjefji/Barlos/Melissaratos
    C Kavvadas/Boateng/Bogris

Their manager did an incredible job putting together a roster that good for that budget.

They do, but his father seemed to be against it.

Partizan is interested in Jacob Pullen , there are some rumors that Velickovic might come back to Partizan but because of his injures he won't be able to play until January .

He probably does not want to play for Giannakis in Limoges, since playing time is based on defensive effort with him.

He probably does not want to play with PAO, because the last time he was there he hardly played..........

Panionios is probably his best bet, but maybe he wants to play in the Spanish League because then he could get scouted by other Spanish teams and get a contract more easily.

Or maybe he would just rather play in Bilbao so he would only have to play once a week, instead of twice a week in Panionios.

Anyway, Verginis is an underrated player to me. He has potential, being a really big and strong point guard that can create his own shot. He just needs a team to give him a chance. His problem is he just lacks game time, because he has hardly played for so many years.
