Default The 2009 National Champions are...

the North Carolina Tarheels.

Wow. they crushed notre dame. mcalarney hitting the threes at the end made it seem WAY closer than it really was. After UNC plays Michigan State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, we will really know how they are this year.

Hansbrough drops 34 points on Harangody in his second game back after suffering shin reaction AND a sprained ankle and he was REDICULOUS.

Imagine if they still had Zeller. The depth in the front court would be INSANE. When Ginyard returns after suffering a foot injury, I dont see how the HEELS can be stopped. Ginyard is the best defender and can shut down the biggest threat to the Heels.

If a team can stop Hansbrough (good luck) then thompson, ed davis, ellington, green, and lawson will tear them up.

Lets look at Lawson:
By far the fastest man in the NCAA witht the ball. Dont try and gamble and go for a steal or its goona be a layup or an AND 1 at the other end. LAWSON IS THE KEY TO A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR.

If the team stays healthy, then the HEELS should have a cakewalk to the title.

I just like everyone else am very impressed with UNC thus far. One thing I was especially surprised by was how much better some players got over the summer, namely Deon, Ty, and Danny Green. I wonder who will start, Green or Ginyard later in the season.

If UNC does lose, it will probably be their own fault.

Heels first loss 1/11/09 at Wake Forest.

Wake is young but big and very athletic and they seem to be improving quickly. They will get better each game by the time UNC rolls around they will give em a run for their money.

But definitely UNC is looking like easy favorites

As much as I am pulling for my beloved UConn Huskies to win the title in 2009. My gut is telling me that the Tar Heels will win it all. They are loaded!!!
