Default whose our best acquisition so far?

i can't wait for this brandon rush kid to start lighting it up. i'm still somewhat iffy about us letting bayless go though. he's been kicking ass in summer league.

Yeah Bayless, but still I like Rush in this trade coz he's a winner, that's says everything, doesn't it?

For me, Rush and Hibbert are the two best acquisitions so far by Larry Bird. From these acquisitions, we're getting deeper and tougher both offensively and defensively.Danny Granger should benefit from this two coz he got a lot of help from every positions and every aspects of the game.

Let's go Pacers!!!!

Bayless, while a potentially great player, doesn't have the right attitude for what Larry wants. Not from what I've seen anyway, he seems very selfish and "me first." Rush and Hibbert were willing to sacrifice numbers for the good of the team in college, and Rush won a title and Georgetown had solid tourney runs I believe all 4 years. Zona barely made the tournament and lost in the first round.

Anyway, I'd like to say one of the rookies, but until I see them play NBA level competition I'll reserve judgement. I think it's Ford and Jack. Perfect complements to one another, both would have started for us last season. I really like Jack's game. Our perimeter defense is so improved it's insane.

But once Jamaal's gone that's the best move by the Pacers since getting Danny at 17.

I think that getting JO and trying to get rid of tinsley, are so far. But i think that by midseason, we are all going to be suprised by Ford putting up big numbers, and i think Dunleavy will be an allstar this season....

Keep dreaming bud. Dunleavy is the most underrated player in the league, and he might never get the respect he deserves. He won't make an all-star team.

i think there was a reason for every person we got:

Ford: Clear and simple; we needed a starting PG that we could rely on and would fit JOB's uptempo system. Run and gun

Jack: We needed more perimetre defense and an outside threat beyond the arch. Also, a backup PG that could start games if he needed to.

Hibbert: A strong presence inside, that could block or alter shots, and a good rebounder. Only question is, will he adapt in JOB's uptempo offense? Will be be able to get up and down the court like the rest of the team?

Rush: Great defender, slasher, and 3-point shooter. We're stacked with swingmen, so Rush will need to prove him worth (im sure he will).

Rasho: Expirer. We're over the cap and the oganization talked about cutting back on salary.

McRoberts and Baston: These two are going to have to prove themselves. Our front court is really weak so it would be too hard for them to prove themselves. Personally, I dont think that McRoberts will make the roster, but Baston will. Hopefully, McRoberts will work hard this summer and prove me wrong.

Overall I think our best acquisition was TJ Ford

eh, the rasho thing is 1/2 true i think. yes the best part about him is his big expiring contract, but i think he's going to help us out alot.

i too hope mcroberts makes the squad. i like local talent on pro teams.

Personally, I dont think McRoberts will make the roster. Even though we're not deep at all with big men, I still dont see him making the team. One thing I dont understnad is that we're moving into JOB's uptempo offense, yet we picked up Hibbert (who has bricks in his feet) and Rasho is also big and slow (he cant run up and down the court)..

So this kind of makes me think that hes only there as an expirer

sounds kinda like when the suns picked up shaq. i thought i read where hibbert was showing some improvement on his up & down the court during tryouts.

i dont recall reading anyting about Hibbery improving his and down the court skills...but youre right, shaq did slow down the PHX offense and made them loose a lot of games

you know pacers fans...every team that Ford played for, he made it a playoff team...
look at the bucks...ever since he left we were pathetic because we didn't had a real PG since then...
so i see you getting the 6th spot and ford playing in the all-star game
