This is off topic, sorda, but...

I have yet to buy a single "DVD" (aside from The Office Seasons 1-3) since Blu-Ray and HDDVD have come out. I need to wait and see who wins the hi-def format war before I shell out any money on movies. "DVD" is a dead format to me, for all I'm concerned.

The only "10" I'd ever give out would be for "The Godfather I and II", but for the sake of simplicity on this list, here are my favorites:

10 Rating
300
40 Year old Virgin
Almost Famous
Batman Begins
Beauty and the Beast
Charlie and the Chocloate Factory
The Lion King

9 Rating
Casino Royale
Hostel
King Kong (2005)

Buying movies is stupid because the format is always changing. I buy as few movies as possible. I'm amused at people that have like 500 dvds... Didn't they learn from the 500 VHS they use to have that they threw out? Especially because the people that have a ton of movies (that I know) usually don't exactly have the money to waste.

Not really. Most of these movies I didn't pay anywhere near full price for.

I got Beverly Hills Cop for 5 bucks... The Squid and the Whale for 3 bucks. Maybe 10 or 15 of those did I buy brand new and even then some of those didn't cost alot. Brick was only 9 bucks and T2 was only 7.50.

Besides, it's no more of a waste of money than going to a football or basketball game or buying Music for that matter. Going to a sporting event is what I call a waste of money because you can on;y see the event once.

Alot of them came from Hollywood video in the 4 for 25 bucks section. I paid one dollar for The Ring. I won it off ebay.

Before somebody suggest Netflix... I like to own things and not rent them.

Yea but how often do you actually watch the DVDs you buy?? I dont know but for me I really only watch DVDs i buy 2-3 times, then dont watch them again because after youve seen a movie a few times, you already know what to expect. Of course there are their exceptions. There are a few movies I can watch over and over again. I'd rather go to a sporting event because you are paying for the experience, and nothing beats seeing the team you love in action. Its a one time deal but you pay for the time you are there and for the memories. I just download the movies I like and maybe buy the DVDs i love but not usually

Pretty often actually. I've watched Taxi Driver, Tommy Boy, and Goodfellas several times. In fact, I wore out my original VHS tape of Tommy Boy because I would play it when I would go to sleep at nights.

I'm more of a movie guy than a sports guy now anyway. I used to never miss games (football, baseball or basketball) but with all of these fraud athletes, it's all become tiresome.

Also, you should realize that I'm a Hawks fan and most of the games are over by halftime and I have to watch movies or something. I can't stand these cheaply made reality TV shows and lame burbs sitcoms they have on TV.
