Imagine a Kobe-run Bobcats team with the current circumstances right now. Kobe would be on Jordan's coattails every offseason to get him better talent and every offseason we as fans would have to sit through this Kobe soap opera. Kobe is too prideful and retarded to understand cap space. The Lakers probably can't afford to get him any talent because the Lakers can't afford to put another huge salary on top of Kobe's mammoth salary, not to mention the fact there aren't a lot of top-tier players who want to play for Kobe either.

Would you guys and gals be worried if he went to Atlanta though? They are putting together a young team much like we are and I could see something happening there. Not that Kobe would want to go there (much like to us probably) but it's a possibility?

Interesting to note that Kobe has spent his entire career with LA. Sometimes athletes can get a fresh start with a new team and leave a lot of their old baggage behind. Randy Moss comes to mind.

Randy Moss has left his baggage behind b/c he is on the best team football has seen in a long time and he is probably pretty confident that he is going to get a ring. Kobe coming to CLT or ATL would be more like Moss going to Oakland. No, we aren't as bad as Oakland was/is but he's not going to win a title in his first year here, or even have a shot at one.

Kobe to ATL scares the crap out of me depending on what they send to LA. Joe Johnson would obviously be gone but they are so deep at wing that losing Josh Smith as well wouldn't be a huge blow. Really, if they don't send Horford, I'd be worried (maybe this is based on Horford's performance yesterday). I still don't think ATL would be winning a title but they would probably win our division.
