Powerful opinions from RMWG.

Do you think they approach the finals series in an appropriate manner, mentally? I thought they just didn't have the hunger anymore. I felt it, watching. You?

Story of those finals was three things

1.pierce was completely shutdown by Artest

2. Ray couldn't hit a shot after the bone bruise

3. Gasol put on his big boy pants and outplayed KG unlike the 08 finals.

I'm not seeing how you can psychoanalyze like that throught the tv screen. I'm pretty sure that they all wanted to win and were trying to win. Sometimes a team gets beat. Doesn't mean they weren't trying.

I'd have to re-watch it one day.

Well I do think they were trying less than it was needed, however. I remember being mad about that, the lack of urgency. Shouldn't have dropped a game at home. Anyway. Would you be willing to rewatch the series once again?

Talking about psychoanalysis now, you really don't think revisiting would be useful? 8 years distance between us then and now. I'd expect to see things I didn't see watching it live.
Or is it just too hot of an issue

I am sure I would see some things that I forgot or didn't notice the first time. But watching that series again would take something like three hours. And that's if I find a good video quickly and fast forward through commercials religiously. All of that to relive a Finals loss of one of my favorite Celtic squads. I would do it if I was some kind of paid analyst but that wouldn't be something I enjoy at all especially knowing how it ends. I saw the series and feel confident the Celtics were trying. I don't need to go bleary-eyed in front of a computer with my wife nagging "what are you doing?" to remember that much.

That series was a war of attrition. By game 7 they were glad it was done and over with. You could see it very early in the third both teams were laboring and exhausted.
