That doesn't necessarily translate to "I'm hard... I'll kill you". You're taking lines way too literally. Drake likes to often point out how it's just "me myself and all my millions"... "I could turn your boy into the man... there ain't really too much out here that's poppin off without us". That line you posted could easily be interpreted as him having the power of starting or ending someone's career in the game.

I was expecting you to post the "catch a body like that" lyric.
That line is probably supposed to be subjective but to me "real ngga" and "hard" go hand in hand...when Drake starts yappin "real ngga" this and that he is putting himself in those shoes IMO. And don't tell me 'real ngga' could also mean 'honest guy' or somethin. No he is talking about street bred.

He's not really putting himself in those shoes.

Kblaze posted this Drake lyric earlier in the thread:

"It take a certain type of man to teach
To be far from hood, but to understand the streets"

He's saying that his understanding of the streets has earned him "real n*ggas" as fans, so if he takes you out of the game the "real n*ggas" will still continue to follow him and bump his $hit without giving you a second thought.

Drake is a kid actor turned studio rapper who makes music for teenage girls. He's made a ton of money, so good on him, but he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as rappers like Ghostface.

Okay I see what you are saying and it makes sense but you can't really be confused as to why Drake gives people a studio gangsta vibe when most of his hits are collaborations with artists who do claim to be gangstas...Wayne, Ross, Chains, etc

and none of those guys are gangsters either... all in the same boat really. If you have a problem with Drake it must be 10x worse for ross. 90% of rappers that claim to be hard never did much.

Seriously tho andgar LOVES cherrypicking only bad moments from the new school and doing the opposite for old school
    I'm cherry picking?

I never denied that every era had whack rappers. I have stated that even some of the whack rappers from the past >>> today's avg rapper.

Today's standards are simply lower than before.

As weak as nelly was, he's still better than many of today's popular rappers.

Shit, PM F*ckin Dawn are the 90s version of Drake, but nobody took them serious like they do Drake.

Kanye is regarded as possibly this generations best rapper, yet he would've been just another member of pharcyde if he came out then.

Kendrick Lamar perhaps the hottest mc today wouldn't even be the best rapper from LA in the 90s.

The cat from CC Music Factory and Snap>>> half of today's popular rappers.

This dude probably just listens to the radio friendly singles. DMCB, Fear, Stay Scheming verse are definitely for teenages girls.
