If San Antonio was in the East
Would they have won 70 games?

Bullshit
What team when healthy, in the east, would actually be threat to them? All I can think of is Chicago with rose. Miami won 66 games last year. I'm sure San Antonio could win atleast 60 in the east

Re: If San Antonio was in the East
The Spurs could win 70 in the West if they didn't care about resting players, and went all out every night. They'd burn out in the playoffs, but they could push 70 wins if they pushed for it from start to finish.

They probably would have won more than 5 championships. The West is BRUTAL.

Re: If San Antonio was in the East
Honestly the heat could have won 70 games last year if they had a better start
They started out 26-14 and finished 66-16. So they could have won 70 games. But because of that, they were burned out by the playoffs.

Another interesting question in the same vein is, how many Finals appearances they would have by now if they'd been in the East from the start of the Tim Duncan era.

Interesting, I would say more than 6, obviously. But I still think they loose to the heat in the conference finals in 2011, 2012, and 2013. If they were in the East.
