But that graph has to be wrong

    Total world population is 7.046

At least 2 billion who are too poor to watch anything on tv. Zero chance the 29,billion viewers is accurate
What do you mean? Do you mean the accurate source of memecenter.com could possibly be wrong???

It's probably the views added up from each game, not distinct viewers.

    Or it's just inaccurate. Lol.

Viewer is an abstract term in that case. One person who watches two different games counts as two viewers. Normal in television. The real problem in the graph is that it's one game vs an entire tournament.

"About 3.2 billion people around the world (roughly 46% of the global population) watched at least a minute of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa on TV in their homes, according to a report produced for FIFA by the British firm KantarSport. This is slightly lower than the number of people who reportedly saw at least a minute of the 2012 London Olympics (3.6 billion), according to a report produced for the International Olympic Committee. Nearly 1 billion people (909.6 million) tuned in for at least a minute of the 2010 World Cup final, in which Spain defeated the Netherlands, a similar viewership number to the London Olympics’ opening ceremonies."

The WC is definitely more popular and it isn't even close. But to be fair, if you're just going by the merits of the game, then popularity should have little to do with it.

For example, the artists at the top of the music charts are not indisputably and inherently the best ones just because a lot of people like them.

So if you combine the 4 major American sports together, that's about $25 billion in revenue. So if the biggest soccer league, English Premiere League, only generates $4B then the next 3 biggest soccer leagues has less than $4B, which won't even add up to $15B in revenue.

However, soccer does have like about 50 pro leagues or so, so it might be close. But again, it's like the entire Europe, South/Latin America against the U.S. with a few teams from Canada.
There's a commercial break every 5 minutes and the league offices are making billions from it...Yet these commissioners are still trying to put ads on jerseys.

Yanks should just stick to handegg or gridiron to be honest. They can call themselves world champions at it when they're the only ones playing it Lol.
