What? I was pissed rightfully so for them not even competing vs the Heat. I'm STILL open to some tweaks on the roster. Not sure why that's me wanting to "blow them up". I'm not sure why you're just fine giving other teams props but the minute it's vs the Heat... you want to pile dirt on them and pick them apart man.

With that said, the Heat team defense is far FAR too strong and seasoned for the playoffs. Clippers are nowhere close to that level of defense on a consistent basis like Miami is poised for.

We can argue about <> player all we want, and we won't change our opinions on that. But the difference will be Miami's defense >>> Clippers defense

Miami can just switch up 2 gears defensively when they want to, and have a gear that the Clips don't have on that side of the ball. That will inevitably be the difference if the Clips were to somehow come out of the West. The Heat are a defensive first team and have had training camps just focusing on D. The Clips can't get to Miami's level on defense with just a little focus on it early this season, when Miami has had years of it ingrained in them (and the fact Miami has superior defensive players)

Buddy... the Clippers have been a top 5 defense ALL YEAR LONG and were top 3 when they were at the top of the NBA for a month. They are 1st in the NBA in forced turnovers, 1st in steals, are 7th in blocks, are 4th in points allowed, 5th in total shooting percentage of opponents.

The Heat on the other hand are 7th in turnovers forced, 9th in steals, 16th in blocks, 12th in points allowed, 8th in total shooting percentage of opponents. The ONLY category defensively the Heat are better at is defending the 3.

In other words the Clippers are easily better than the Heat defensively this year. Maybe in the playoffs the Heat can take it to a whole different level but it's beyond ignorant to act like the Heat are automatically a better defensive team this year. They were an elite defense last year I believe but their D has slipped.

Clippers don't have an extra defensive gear? They have held multiple teams scoreless for 6-7 minute stretches this year. You can't constantly have huge comebacks in games like they do and not have an extra gear defensively.

Clippers have the 4th ranked overall defense right now, Miami has the 12th. It's literally not close.

i think the Clippers would fair well against the HEAT & it's obvious that at least some HEAT "fans" are threatened

Clippers are deep enough & big enough to do some serious damage.

They can also shoot lights out & play pretty damn good D.

Not to mention they have 3 of the most clutch players in the game (Crawford, Cp3 & Billups)

Oh and i forgot they have the best PG runnin the show

Heat have held just 4 teams under 80.

Clippers have held 9 opponents under 80.

Meh. "Regular season".. means little if anything. The Bulls were tops defensively during the regular season and looked like a sieve come playoffs. The Heat have already proven, in "playoff basketball" atmosphere which is a totally different game, they can shut you down when they put their foot down.

Moreover, Miami's defense matches up better against the Clips for what Miami really does well. Pick and roll defense is tops, and perimeter D. Two big strikes against the Clips offense. Miami's D is just too quick with Miami's quick feet and fast hands. We all know Miami coasts during the regular season, it's kind of stupid to go all out on defense for 6 months before the playoffs. But you will see it in the playoffs once again.

You are starting to sound like the people saying Miami is the worst rebounding team in the league when nothing could be further from the truth.

So Lebron's recent stretch means little if anything?

Or does the "regular season mean little if anything" only IF it fits your agenda?

Again I never said Miami wouldn't be favored or wouldn't win. Just don't make up things to criticize the Clippers and act like they have no shot. You said Miami was >>>>> defensively yet all year long the Clippers have EASILY been a better defense. When I point that out you mention how the regular season doesn't matter. The teams have never met in the playoffs so we don't have much to go on if you disregard the regular season.

If you include the preseason in China where we smoked you twice.. it's pretty obvious the last 3 years that our bigs give your team major problems. You don't have anybody who can guard Griffin and DJ. Nor can Chalmers guard CP3 in a series. Wade and Bosh on the other hand haven't done much against our team. So it's essentially Lebron, CP3, Griffin and DJ who aren't guardable in a series. Billups/Bledsoe have had no problem holding Wade in check for the most part. Griffin/DJ have neutralized Bosh for the most part.

Individual stats and "team stats" are two totally different things. Especially when correlating them into what we'll see in the playoffs on a team like this.

Are you saying Miami is not a top defensive team and that we won't see that stifling defense in the playoffs that we've been accustomed to seeing ?? Did you not witness Miami shutting teams down in 4th quarters recently, playing at a much higher level with defensive rotations later in 4th qtrs -- something we didnt see earlier in the season ?
