Default [Article] Bynum running for the first time

"He's coming along well. He's progressing," coach Phil Jackson said before Tuesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. "It's not as fast as he'd like to, but we're looking at the big picture here.

"We know that he makes a big difference in our team, but ultimately the organization feels we don't have to rush him into anything and jeopardize the situation."
Lakers spokesman John Black said no timetable has been set for Bynum's return, adding: "We set a minimum of eight weeks. We didn't set a maximum."

doesnt sound too good imo, looks more like next season to me

I read that hes running on an anti-grav thingy that simulates 60% of his weight. Damn I hope he recovers soon, same with Trev.

yeah it's called an "Alter G" machine, pretty cool, the whole treadmill is incased in a huge ballon... the runner places his lower body through a hole in the ballon that seals up around the runners waist then the ballon is inflated and if lifts the users weight off the treadmill... it's kinda like a harness hanging overhead setup might do but this allows much more natural gait then a harness type affair... as the runners injury recovers they just inflate the ballon a little less allowing for more weight to be placed on the lower body... things are not cheap either something like 75k plus
