Japan is just a weird country period. They went from insanely masculine (imperial japan in ww2) to insanely feminine.

They haven't. They've stopped getting married. The sex, i don't think that stopped.

No there are a bunch of articles about how they arent interested in sex. Men and women. Its not like europe where use of birth control is preventing reproduction. Obviously not every japanese person, not even a majority. but a significant minority.

my kids are japanese citizens which is what the birth count is measuring. not pure japanese. citizens.

Not quite on either front but I'd say it's easier. You can go above your pay grade easier. Really hot girls are still really hot girls that aren't giving people the time of day just like here (especially if they aren't into american culture, that's a really hard sell) but I've seen ridiculously dorky american guys with zero game be with girls whereas in the US their left hand would reject them. And there are the women who want you to marry them and take them to the US because they don't like the culture in Japan or japanese men, if you're willing to do that it's on.

Japanese men aren't all bad (we have some friends who are pretty cool) but a lot of them are just very self absorbed and not really treating their wives that well. I sit there playing with my kids, help my wife carry things, open and close the door and her friends are wow'd and always say how fantastic a husband i am. I generally treat my wife like she's a person I still like, a lot of the husbands treat their wives like there wives are stuck with them so they need to deal with it.

The one's who like foreigners, some seek out black guys. Others don't care for them. I have three close friends who are black fathers with japanese wives, and my daughters japanese class on the weekend has at least four if not five mixed families with black fathers.

We are stereotyping across everyone which of course we should not do, but in my experience those men in business spend so much time at work, hanging with their co-workers, etc. that they just neglect their home life and the wives a lot. It becomes almost a situation where you are almost in a partnership at home rather than a marriage. Japanese life/work balance is shit because of the face time and the fact it's almost insisted you go out with your co-workers after work.

I know some real nice guys (one of my friends was making a nice living as a rock singer/guitarist but gave it up to do construction so he saw his wife and son more), etc. But some of my wife's closest friends in Japan have husbands who are literally never home. Their kids are afraid of them because they never see them. One of the husbands had to pick up the kid at school (she was sick) and the doctor asked what was different about her today and he didn't know because he doesn't see her during the day. It's a shitty dynamic for intimacy.

Since the husbands are out a lot they sexualize other people (not their wife), hostesses, co-workers, etc. Anyone but who they have access too.

i believe they are not interested in having babies. the birth ratio in japan has declined a lot ever since their economy tanked in the 90s. they're not financially stable, so they're not getting married, having kids, etc.

My cousin was telling me he saw some documentary that talked about this issue. The video interviews these asian guys that say they never have to leave their houses because they watch porn, eat, and play video games all day. It makes sense. If you're jacking it all day and having fun where is the motivation to seek out a female? I think porn is really changing the way men interact with women. No woman can compete against porn. I rarely see a female that I feel compelled to talk to because most are no where near as hot as the women I see in porn. It's actually really sad and one of the reasons I'm trying to stop watching porn all together.
