Yeah, but the thing is, Ibaka routinely fights rebel armies armed with AK's and grenades with his bare hands. He does that all the time.

I already provided a link earlier telling about the way Ron's father, a former boxer, trained him in boxing since he was a child. To this day, Ron still trains in boxing.

Probably like Pryzbilla does in offseason. And your point is? I didnt see him fight with anyone except two random fans. Why everybody assume that he can fight? Because he said so?

I still think Ibaka would run World Peace. MWP is legit insane, but I get that vibe from Ibaka that he's the quiet guy that when pushed will turn into that last person you wanna fuck with. MWP would go in thinking: "PEACH FUZZ!" and Ibaka would calmly pick him apart.

Ok, I got it. 50 Cent.
He's from a tough area (Jamaica Queens). Check!
He's mom was murdered. Check!
Trained as a boxer. Check!
Got shot the f*ck up. Check!
Steroids. Check!
50 Cent would beat down Artest and Ibaka, amiright?

You really want to dispute this? Third world country vs. superpower, bro.
I've heard stories, but I don't feel like looking for links, so you win I guess.

they act like the guy's actually put beatdowns on NBA players.
Its w/e, we'll agree to disagree...
Um HELLO, Ron Artest broke one of Jordan's ribs during a rough scrimmage.

No because Ibaka despite his calm nature can bring out his superafrikyan form which he developed fighting RPG wielding rebels in Congo.

I know he is a mess, I know he is (was) feared by a lot of players because he is unstable person,... But I still would like to see one video of him in actual fight with some fighter or at least someone his size. Why he backed away from Wallace? This stories of he said that someone said that he heard someone say... dont interest me.
I know he had to fight a lot when he was young but the same goes for Ibaka.

Re: MWP squaring up Ibaka!
1. Where you grow up ...has 0 bearing on how well you fight. ( Just because you grew up in ______________ doesn't mean you can fight)...it may however influence how well you handle your emotion....maybe.
2. the guy who actually trains and has technique has a much better advantage..especially when size is near equal....if a smaller man is fighting a larger man...then technique is far more important.
3. Bieng "ripped" also doesn't mean you will "fight" Better...in many cases it's just the opposite...too much muscle with little fat burns more oxygen making someone tired out faster...as your heart has to work more to supply oxygen to the muscle.
if Ibaka does not train...I would think Artest has a clear advantage ( as he has trained in Boxing)...both Men are equal in size....
Artest would most likely win this fight from what little knowledge we know of both men.

If you practice something, you're going to be better at it than people who don't.
I don't have to see them play, to think that the worst kid off the bench on a highschool team is a better player than some 6'5 athletic guy who's never touched a basketball. The same applies to other skills.
If Ibaka spent his life getting into streetfights, maybe he's naturally developed some skills, similar to someone who plays street basketball. He's still probably not going to be as good as someone who's been coached, but if there's a big enough disparity in talent, he might be. Ibaka doesn't seem like the type of guy who gets into a lot of fights though, and I see no reason to expect him to have more natural talent than Artest.
