Pantera: Vulgar Display of Power was an amazing album. I'm not even into hardcore music and I loved it. I remember getting drunk and watching my friend punch himself in the face to that album. Intense music.

LOL Slipknot is garbage. That's metal for gradeschoolers. lol
I will say Pantera was the last great fast paced (thrash, groove, etc). metal band though. Those were the famous mid 80's-90's metal bands.
These days the only acts putting out good metal are the slower paced, distorted, psych stuff (doom, stoner, etc.). Back to the original 70's shit, but on steroids.

I saw Pantera and Slayer together live in July 2001. What a f***ing awesome show. Morbid Angle, Static-X and this band Skrape opened up for them.
