Default Was Kobe's wasted peak (06-07) karma for 2004?

Kobe's peak prime was in the 05-06 and 06-07 seasons which I (a huge kobe hater) must admit he was he best player in the league. But he was surrounded by extremely bad teammates, and ended up wasting his two years of peak.

But is this karma for what kobe has done in 2004? Because of Kobe's selfishness, he chucked the favorites lakers out of a championship, cost Karl Malone's last chance to win a ring, Payton a chance a ring, and Shaquille's deserving FMVP (28ppg on 60% shooting in he finals).

Or it could be that the basketball god gave kobe to much early in his career (prime shaq and 3 rings), that Kobe must be brought back to reality.

Anyways, the only 2 years when Kobe was the best in the league, we couldn't see how he would do in the playoffs.

we did see how he did in the playoffs. he hit a gw and had a 50 pt game.

But anyways...... No. Just bad timing. in 08 and 09 he had worse scoring but better as a leader.. needed that period of losing imo.

btw karl malones age cost karl malone a championship

Yeah, it was all Kobe's fault. The rest of the team outside Shaq shooting 33%, Malone's injuries, Shaq's lazy play defensively and on the boards, and Payton's crappy play had nothing to do with it. It's all Kobe's fault. That's why the biggest blow-out loss came in the game where he only had 13 shots, right? lmao.

    What a moron.

If Malone doesn't get hurt in game 1 (while the lakers were up double digits mind you) then that series is completely different

Well, '07 wasn't his peak, I don't think many people actually believe in karma, and his play in '04 wasn't bad enough to warrant a wasted peak.

I would argue that Kobe's peak as an overall player came in '08, and he made the Finals that year. I don't think he had lost any of his ability as a scorer, was nearly as athletic, and flourished within the context of his team more than any other year in his career.

2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010... Kobe was the best in the league those seasons too. The most clutch player in the game, three finals appearances, and two rings.

Kobe's best years was obviously when he was playing with Kwame Brown. Sad, if he only had one allstar on his team who knows how much further in the playoffs the Lakers would be.

It's was basically 3 vs Kobe night in and night out it was so bad. Guys were wide open but scare to shoot or couldn't hit a thing. Not even MJ in that position can do much better.

Same thing happened to Wade for a while, LeBron for a while in Cleveland, AI for a while in Philly, and KG for a while in Minny, etc. It's not karma, it's just what happens to superstars a lot of the time.
