I agree, i hate Zo even MORE than VC.

AMEN!

Zo had a kidney disease and the Nets gave him an opportunity to come back and he made excuse after excuse. talk about biting the hand that feeds you. he is a total bum and has disrespected the NETS organization. i hope i never see him play again.

it might also be because of the fact that RJ is a scorer and not a playmaker like Vince is. In other words, he would definitely increase his point totals if Vince left, but with RJ as the team leader, this team would be a long shot for even the ECF.

even for that short stint when it was the Kidd/RJ/Zo team, RJ's numbers were slightly lower in scoring but still had turnover and finishing issues (double teamed like crazy)

interesting thing to note:

the Kidd/RJ/Zo Nets played one game versus Vince Carter and the Raptors, and Carter botched the game winning layup. without that win for the Nets, they may not have made the playoffs. pretty clairvoyant of Carter

I liked it when we had Mutombo better than Zo. We reallycould have used Mutombo more effectivlely. I still get mad at Frank for not using him more that year.

Mutumbo was only with the Nets in the 2002-2003 season under Byron Scott. at first they envisioned a great shot blocker and defensive presence to counter Tim Duncan and Shaq.

at first he slowly tried to get into the system, but they found he was too slow and plodding for the Nets in their high octane Princeton offense at the time.

then he broke his hand and fell out of the rotation.

though in the Finals, his defensive heroics versus the Spurs did help the Nets win a game and put them into position to win at least one more... if not for Kenyon Martin's flu vanishing in GAme 5

Cool Re: Will Vince Carter be back next year as a high flyer again?

I believe that he was afraid to get hurt and blow the big contract opportunity. He is one of the most exciting players in the game and I think that by trying not to get hurt it affected his game. I look forward to a big year from VC. He still has so much to prove to his critics.
