The PROBLEM with paying him is that he WILL cripple your franchise in the future. Like I said, he's an AVERAGE NBA player and is easily replaceable. The ONLY notable asset he brings besides his durability is his scoring, something KAT and Butler do well. So when he's on the court (which is always) and doesn't have the ball in his hands, he's a NEGATIVE asset.

"Pay him or let him walk for nothing though!"

Staying healthy is a very valuable thing, it means you can expect a return on your investment.

Wiggins is not easily replaceable, he has top tier athleticism and b-level scoring skills, and other teams would have matched that offer if he was a free agent/

The team is going to be very different this year and Wiggins has made improvements in each of his first 3 seasons, I think it's realistic to expect continued growth, and as I have said multiple times and you have failed to comprehend, The Wolves organization literally has no other option.

Replace Wiggins with Kawhi and you'd still be right.

Kawhi still triggering you b1tches that bad that you needed 2 alts?

Kawhi was just top 3 in mvp without colluding.

Bron wasn't even top 3 with colluding.

If Lebron wanted to be top 3 he would have been top 3. He was coasting all season long and he was still better than kawhi.

Was he better when Kawhi dropped 42 points on him and won the game?

Wiggins is going to be a better Derozan. 30+ mil a year for that isn't ideal but it's not some catastrophic team breaking deal.

Dude read 34-24's Kyrie thread. Comedic gold, including Marcus Morris being a first option

You're one of the slower users on ish aren't you?

From a general point of view, Wiggins isn't easy to replace. This much is true. His athletic ability + ability to put the ball in the basket is one of few. This is what the general population sees. This is what the uninformed, such as yourself, see.

But from a truly ELITE basketball mind, we see the holes in this signing. Wiggins doesn't provide anything Butler or KAT don't, so it's not a need of being replaced, it's a need of not being needed. He demands the ball in his hands to be effective, as does KAT and to a lesser extent, Butler. The acquisition of Butler is going to naturally stunt his growth as he gets less touches, disallowing him to fulfill the expectations of the contract. Why pay player A the max when you just brought in player B, who does everything player A does, but to a MUCH higher extent?

You are stupid, so you try to use generalities and dumb down your arguments. "It's better to pay a player with potential than to let him walk for nothing!" You're mentally incapable of applying context to any given situation, which is why the general consensus of ISH is that you're a retard. It'll be fun seeing what angle you try to take a couple years from now when this is generally considered a bad contract

"he stays healthy though!"

Next superstar wing doe.

Yep, trouble with your stats are they reflect team record whereas the positives were on winning records and the negs were on teams with losing records.

All these advanced stats will be in Wiggins favor because he is no longer saddled in a losing situation.

23 plus ppg at 21 years of age and he is 'a scrub' or 'a role player' or 'average NBA player' or his contract is going to 'cripple his team'.

ISH reaches its stupid apex when Wiggins is the topic.

So heres whats up, the wolves can't sit back and wait for the best deal there is, all their faced with is a questionable deal or they can go home empty handed, it's kind of like Simon shopping at Ross the day he got his Lime Green Nike polo, there were no other options, everything was gone and it was either that polo or nothing at all, and there wasn't much in his closet just like the wolves don't have players

Wiggins = Simons polo
