Default Iverson available... again

I know this didn't go through in the summer because Danny wanted Telfair (reportedly rejected #7, raef, and Wally for AI?). But now apparently AI has demanded a trade, will Danny pursue him yet again?

Maybe an Allen, Wally and West deal is in the works.

It all depends if Ainge wants to stick with the young ones or if he wants to bring in a veteran...I could see the deal go down but the Celtics have pursued him before but did not land him so will he do it this time?

If Boston can get him, great, but I doubt Philly would want to trade AI into the same conference, much less the same division.

dude, AI is 76ers, without him, there wouldn't be a 76ers.
besides, they wouldn't trade him to same conference, play offs. That is assuming they can make the playoffs without AI.

The Mavericks are another team believed to be interested in AI (Yahoo! Sports) 76ers want Deven Harris from the Mavs but Cuban said they are not trading him.

Celtics reportedly don't want Gerald Green involved in any AI trade.

Supposedly, either the Bulls or the C's are the two teams AI would like to be traded to. Unless the Bulls offer pretty much everything including that Knicks pick, I really think the Celtics have the best chance of landing AI.

As many owners and GM's of teams that threw out lines like "AI's a talented player, and any team would love to add that calibre of talent" around the time of the draft when the Iverson rumors were running wild, there are at least the same amount of GM's and owners publicly saying 'No thanks' in so many words to trading for AI this time around. It's a buyer's market right now, especially for Danny because I think we can offer a more well-rounded package to the Sixers and we would have a better roster left over after the trade for AI to join than the Bulls would.

Well, I guess it's back to crossing my fingers for Iverson again....

From what I heard, Minnesota has offered Randy Foye, Eddie Griffin, Ricky Davis and Troy Hudson for Iverson. But I guess Philly wants to have Webber in the deal as well...

Yeah they want to get rid of Webber too, but it's not going to happen in a situation where Iverson has demanded a trade and everyone knows they can get him on the cheap.

The Minnesota rumored offer isn't that good, I still think both the Bulls and the C's have better talent to offer. Both Ricky Davis and Eddie Griffin have 2 years remaining but Troy Hudson has 4 years left on his contract, so basically for Iverson you get Randy Foye, $10 million in contracts that will be expires next season (to go along with Webber's $22 million) and you get saddled with Hudson's mid level deal for 4 years. Plus, the 76ers already have a handful of young guards (yes this probably means either Jefferson or Gomes is gone if we get Iverson IMO) so I can't imagine Billy King is dying to get his hands on Foye that bad.

Webber + AI = Very very and i mean very big contract... no team would be so stupid to take in both of them as they have to give up their star players in order to match the salaries...

It sounds like from this article that Boston has the best chances.

http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/16211168.htm

Sounds like the 76ers have many players they want but are not available (Mav's Harris, T'Wolves Foye, Warriors' Ellis). According to Tony Kornheiser, he doesn't think the 76ers will get too much of anything.

Maybe the Celts could give up Sczerbiak, West and a draft pick to get him?
