Tough loss today. Nova always plays us tough for some odd reason. Oh well, great run, fellas. Let's put this loss behind us and get ready for the next game.

Thank God for the UConn ladies. Another win tonight, Senior Night. It is going to be pretty sad not seeing Mel, Charde, Britt, and Ketia, not wearing the UConn uniform anymore. Congrats and thank you, Mel, Ketia, Charde, and Britt.

Down goes LSU!!! We gotta beat that pesky Depaul team and then figure out those Scarlet Lady Knights of Rutgers.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Dyson is back...played 15 minutes and had 5 assists in the 18 point win against Rutgers. Adrien was a beast with 27 and 11. 3 more big east games to win out.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Nice little double win for the Husky program. The men's team took care of WVA; 79-71. We were lead by A.J. Price. Man, Price is showing just how good he really is. Great game, Price. Jeff Adrien is always steady. I love this kid. Great game, UCONN.
The UCONN women's team dodge a huge bullet. We were down 17 and pulled it out with heads up plays down the stretch. This win would not have been possible if it were not for the heads up and all out hustle play by Maya Moore and the speed of Ketia Swanier.
After a shot by one of our players, Depaul rebounded and was racing up the court. Maya Moore hustled down the court and stole the ball, and then called a timeout. With about 7 seconds on the clock, Swanier took the ball fullcourt and scored on a layup with about 1.6 on the clock....UCONN wins!!!
Now we face Rutgers in what should be another great matchup between our programs. I hope that we get the best of the game this time around.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
After you mentioned that double win I thought of something... why does the Basketball Hall of Fame not have anything about UConn being the only team to have both boys and girls programs winning the national title in the same year?

U would think that the Basketball HOF would have something like that in it. We need to write a protest letter and get our banner, as the only school to win a national title in the same year, in the HOF.

Maybe we should write that letter, and today's game was moved to 8:00 EST for those who don't know.

Yeah, I just saw the time and date change on the UConn team site. Thanks for the heads up.
Also, congrats goes out to Maya Moore. Maya Moore made Big east history the other day by becoming the first in the league's history (male or female) to be recognized as the BIG EAST Player of the Year.
That is right!! Maya Moore, the super cool and very talented freshmen, is the first freshmen to be named BIG EAST POY!!!!
You go, girl!!!! Congrats, Maya.

First ever?
I thought Taurasi or Lobo or those other greats would be Big East POY.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
This is semi UConn related, but I want to bring it up:
In the Women's Big East tournament, Rutgers has just lost to Louisville.
Now the only other decent team in the Big East that can play UConn close is gone.
The Huskies are barely going to break a sweat in the tournament!
IMO, Maya Moore could take the whole tournament off- that's how weak the conference is other than UConn and Rutgers!
