2016-2017 cap will be 94 million
Shams Charania @ShamsCharania 3h3 hours ago
Vertical Sources: NBA has informed its teams that the projected salary cap will rise to $94M for 2016-'17 season. Higher than expected $92M.
Wow. That gives teams even more flexibility. For example the Warriors would have 19 million in cap space if they were to renounce the rights to all their free agents. Salary dumping Bogut would give them 31.7 million in cap space. So the dubs would have Curry, Klay, Draygod, Iggy, Livingston, and Looney under contract with 31.7 million in cap space(26.7 million if they don't renounce Ezeli). It's going to be a crazy offseason.

Why not just give everyone else a raise thats working for a team? You know, people with 9-5 jobs and such?
No, that'd be unfair to the players....

This bubble's gonna burst eventually. A lot of franchises aren't seeing this money. They can keep trying to squeeze more ads onto jerseys tho.

Yeah. Big market franchises won't mind paying though. It's mind blowing that the dubs can keep Curry, Klay, Iggy, Draygod, Livingston, & Ezeli and still make a max offer to a guy like Durant or Horford.
