I just read a rumor that Eddie Jones is about to be bought out by the Grizzlies. I know he's older, but we could get him for the rest of the season cheap and he could give us some good bench minutes.

I would much prefer seeing Maggette come over, but we would likely have to sacrifice Millsap, harpring or kirilenko to get him.

I'd flat out love Eddie Jones on the Jazz. Let's hope they do that.

Hmm, that is interesting... I haven't really been paying attention to the Gizz this year, what's the story? Does he have anything left in the tank?

Eddie Jones was good 10 years ago. I'm sure he'd provide a little more defensive stability for us, but he's not nearly what he used to be offensively. At this point, Giricek is even better offensively. Giricek averages better numbers in less minutes. I still think we need to find someone for the longer run cuz bringing on a one-and-done veteran doesn't make sense for us right now - he might make us contenders for one year, but I don't think the Jazz are gonna do it this year - even if we brought on someone like Maggette now. BUT... given time to mesh with the rest of the team, Maggette would be great with the Jazz say, next year or 2 years down the road when we'll be REAL contenders. Maggette's only 27! He's got another good 7 years in him... and if everyone stays together in Utah, that's a good 5, 6 years of dominance.

One thing I think that we can all be sure of is that the Jazz are not going to win it all this season. Man I wish we could have a pick in this lottery. Could you imagine the future of the Jazz with Durant or Oden?

But I digress... the truth be told is that we're not going to get maggette. I'm scared we end up with Bonzi Wells or Grant Hill or some other disaster... (disasters for different reasons obviously)
