I've been to Korea a few times for work, never been to Daegu, but once you are outside of Seoul they are pretty ignorant towards outsiders (they are in Seoul too but less so).
Daegu is the third biggest city in the country so while it is probably big, it won't be on the level of a Chicago or something like that. You find in Asian countries once you get outside the capital city, there isn't a lot to keep a foreigners attention, unless it is a tourist hot spot, which Daegu certainly is not. A trip to Busan might be fun, but if you like Western shit, go to Seoul.
A majority of Koreans think with every ounce of their heart that they are far and away the greatest culture in Asia and many think on the planet. You will not change their mind, and if you are another Asian ethnicity they will compliment something about your culture and then talk at great length about how awesome Korea is.
The book on doing business with Koreans is as follows:
Allow them to talk down about your product or your company initially, this is a common Korean tactic in negotiation, if they are critical that means they are interested but want to set the bar for negotiation in their favor.
Drink with them. Very manly men in Korea who love the booze.
Agree with them when they brag about Korea, allow them to talk at length about how great it is, little comments about how good Samsung phones are or that you thought Gangnam Style was a musical phenomenon are also welcome. Be agreeable even if you sniff some BS.
Allow them to 'win' the negotiation. start a little higher than with other cultures and work down so they feel like they controlled the entire process. Being too easy though will be seen as a red flag.
