Default Kanye's "See you in my nightmares" and T.I.'s "dead and gone" = same beat

I was just listening to both albums today and I realized that two of their songs had pretty much the same beat.

See you in my nightmares:

Dead and gone:

It's not exactly the same, but probably taken from the same sample. I like both songs though. Not sure, I think I like T.I.'s better.

It isn't the same, they have vaguely similar drum patterns but thats about it. They both use synthesizers, which a lot of hip hop songs use. Actually listening to it more, they sound even less alike. The TI song has that clap while the Kanye song just has the 808 bass going through it as the only percussion for awhile with the synth over it.

I don't think they're the same. Ice Ice Baby and Under Pressure are the same. Not these.

I'm tired of synthesizers and auto-tune... it's getting real annoying in my opinion. I like some of Kanye's album, Robocop, Heartless, Amazing, Love Lockdown, See you in my nightmares... but when you listen to the whole album from beginning to end, the beats and the sounds get annoying. I'll give him credit for trying to switch his style up and do something different, but I hope he moves back to that non-synthesized sound for his next album.

heavy synth lines and live instrumentation is the next big thing for hip-hop production.

why sadly? if done right [see: a lot of T.I. hits] heavy synth lines can be great.

because heavy synth = requiring less talent. I can get on a mic and start singing or rapping way off key and then just use autotune to correct it. Plus, it's ok for a few songs, but using it for every song on an entire album gets irritating.

autotune is one thing but synth lines in the production is another. getting on a keyboard and creating a synth line from scratch doesn't take less talent.

never said it was easy to produce synth lines, but do they really need to be used in EVERY song?
