Default Michael Phelps in trouble again

Quote:
BALTIMORE -- Baltimore police say they'll cite Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps for driving without a license and failure to establish residency in Maryland.

Phelps wasn't fined but will have to appear in court.

Baltimore Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the driver of the other car, Amanda Virkus, will be cited for failure to obey a red light and causing an accident. Those citations carry a maximum penalty of a $180 fine and three points on a driver's license.

Phelps lived in Michigan between the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. He moved back last year to his native Maryland.

I'll give him a pass on the marijuana, but he's headed on the wrong path.

Who the ***** are you to give passes? Sit down, look to the ground keep to yourself, and stop troubling yourself with the inconsequential minute details of other people's lives.

You missed the top sentence. Sure it's not his fault he got hit, but it's his responsibility to ensure he has his friggin' license before driving a car. That's driving 101, folks. He's a good swimmer, but not a bright guy.... obviously.

Even if he did, that doesn't make it any less illegal.

Is it a minor offense? Absolutely. It's not a big deal. But he got caught, and being a popular athlete it'll make the news. I'm sure it'll be treated as a minor offense.

Fact remains, he was a dope for driving without a license.

Driving without a license doesn't really give any insight to one's intelligence.

No doubt it was stupid on his part. But seriously: Drunk driving, pot(granted it was blown out of proportion), and now this. Sure they're minor offenses, but these things seem to be following him.

And, no one is denying that it was dumb.... Just saying that it's not rare and its dumb to say he is headed down the wrong path for this...
