Default Canada China exhibition

While China was missing Yao Ming, Canada did dominate from the opening stretch. Beginning with the won tip and then a threaded pass to former University of Pittsburgh standout Levon Kendall underneath the bucket for an authoritative jam, Canada led the entire way. Ending in an 86-62 final score. Most impressive was Andy Rautins out of Syracuse who put up 19 points, 12 of them on threes. Also, Jevohn Shepherd, formerly of Michigan, scored 15 points, had some very athletic plays and hit a couple three pointers.

All-in-all I was impressed with team Canada's toughness and defense, albeit this was an exhibition game. I hope they'll do well at the FIBA World Championships, and with a fairly young team, the oldest guy being 28 and the youngest being 19, I expect them to eventually qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London.
