The U.S. has a population of 300 million, 40 million african americans. Europe 500 million. Africa 1 billion, a large portion of it being arabs north of the sahara and white people in different parts of the continent.
One day Euroleague might be on equal footing with the NBA, if the talent in Africa can be utilized since they probably will be indifferent to playing in Europe or the U.S. if the money is equal, but by that time both leagues will probably be part of the same global basketball network.
