Always question the narrative.

Hard-line Republicans and conservative commentators are mounting a whispering campaign against Jamal Khashoggi that is designed to protect President Trump from criticism of his handling of the dissident journalistís alleged murder by operatives of Saudi Arabia ó and support Trumpís continued aversion to a forceful response to the oil-rich desert kingdom.

In recent days, a cadre of conservative House Republicans allied with Trump has been privately exchanging articles from right-wing outlets that fuel suspicion of Khashoggi, highlighting his association with the Muslim Brotherhood in his youth and raising conspiratorial questions about his work decades ago as an embedded reporter covering Osama bin Laden, according to four GOP officials involved in the discussions who were not authorized to speak publicly.

Soooooooo, is it part of some sort of Islamic ritual to have someone put on the clothes of a dead man, travel around the city for a bit, and then change out of those clothes in a public restroom? What's the new story?

Quote:
Surveillance video on CNN showed the man in Khashoggi’s dress shirt, suit jacket and pants, although he wore a different pair of shoes. It cited a Turkish official as describing the man as a “body double” and a member of the Saudi team sent to Istanbul to target the writer. The man walks out of the consulate via its back exit with an accomplice, then takes a taxi to Istanbul’s famed Blue Mosque, where he goes to a public bathroom, changes back out of the clothes and leaves. He later eats dinner with his accomplice and goes back to a hotel, where footage shows him smiling and laughing.

"Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" on NPR was talking about Trump's relationship with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia: He found the one Muslim in the world he doesn't hate and he turns out to be the worst Muslim in the world.

That's actually funny. Jared's relationship with MBS is particularly interesting as well.

Trump pretty much blamed the Crown Prince for the murder:
Quote:
ISTANBUL (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince bore ultimate responsibility for the operation that led to Jamal Khashoggi’s killing, and Turkish police were allowed to extend their probe at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Quote:
Trump told the Wall Street Journal he wanted to believe the prince when he said that lower level officials were to blame for the killing at the Saudi mission.

Well, the prince is running things over there more so at this stage. He’s running things and so if anybody were going to be, it would be him.”

So the new rumor is that Khashoggi's body parts have been found either in a well or in the garden of the Saudi consul general. I can't imagine the Saudi's would be that sloppy, but they did foolishly botch the body double attempt, so who knows.

Quote:
Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to two Sky sources.

The sources have told Sky News the Saudi dissident had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured".

One source also suggested the writer's remains were discovered in the garden of the Saudi consul general's Istanbul home - located around 500 metres away from the consulate.

I find it strange that the entire Western world is in a tizzy over the murder of this guy and completely turning their backs on the 13 million people in Yemen who will most likely starve to death in a few months.

It's true but at the same time this furor isnin part over the west being fed up with the same Yemen war. They cannot directly ask them to stop cause it undermines their position against Iran and pisses off Israel so that's what they can use to pressure the Lingdom.
